The Journal of Plant Diseases and Protection will be closed in 2009 from 13 July to 30 August and from Christmas to New Year`s Day. Authors should read the “JPDP Author Guidelines 2009” and “JPDP Manuscript Pattern” files (download: “Instructions for Authors”) which had been updated recently (May 2009).

Description
The Journal of Plant Diseases and Protection publishes scientific original articles and short communications, reviews, book reviews and disease notes in the entire field of phytomedicine.

Readership
Departments of plant protection, schools and research institutes for horticulture, technical colleges, institutes and libraries of horticultural, agricultural, forestry and technical faculties and universities, horticultural consultants, biological offices and members of the German Phytomedical Society. The costs for the Journal are included in the DPG member fee. Full members receive a cost-free print and online copy.

Editorial conception
First publication of scientific original works and reviews from all fields of phytomedicine and related sciences. Contributions are published in English language. You have the opportunity to do an online research under the menu item Search.

Distribution concept
Publication bimonthly. Distribution all over Germany and in 28 further countries.

New special issue of the Journal of Plant Diseases and Protection
The 24 th German Conference on Weed Biology and Weed Control took place from March 4-6, 2008 at the University of Hohenheim. The Proceedings of all speeches have been published as a report portfolio in the form of a special issue of the Journal of Plant Diseases and Protection.
